Harrison Hills Park in Harrison Township occupies the extreme northeast portion of Allegheny County, bordering the Allegheny River and offering a magnificent overlook in which the viewer can see three other counties -Westmoreland, Butler and Armstrong. The theme of the picnic groves and shelters is seeing birds, trees and plants: Wake Robin, Laurel, Buckeye and Overlook.

The is the first and only such facility in any County Park! The Outdoor Classroom is a place designed to get children back to nature and to learn about bugs, birds, worms, gardening, music, art and much more. We've been working on this for three years along with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
